Harmonic filters.
Security of supply in an ever increasing energy demand society is vital. The increasing penetration of distributed generation, connected via grid inverters, puts pressure on the power quality of electrical networks.
Mitigation of excessive, or unacceptable power quality phenomena of a plant or sytem connected to the grid can be performed by (active) filters, grid conditioners or a combination thereoff.
The Flex Power Grid Lab offers the facility to evaluate the characteristic, efficiency, accuracy and overall performance of filters and conditioners under complex realistic grid voltage conditions up to medium-voltage levels and up to 1 MVA. The facility is a vital aid in proof of principle investigations and in fit-for-purpose determination.
