Distribution generation equipment.
The contribution of renewable and distributed energy resources into the electrical generation energy mix is increasing rapidly, and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future.
Grid connection of these resources is typically performed by static converters, called grid inverters. The increased application and penetration of grid inverters inevitably increases the demand for research, knowledge and testing of the behaviour of the equipment when integrated into existing electrical power grids.
The Flex Power Grid Lab offers the facility to evaluate power quality, immunity, efficiency, availability and reliability of such grid inverters up to medium-voltage levels and up to 1 MVA.
