Gas Facilities
KEMA has three state-of-the-art gas facilities: for performing combustion research, flow research and calibration, and gas analysis
Natural gas research
Natural gas is a complex mixture of hydrocarbons and other chemical components. In order to advice, inspect or test in-depth knowledge is required of natural gas properties. Therefore, KEMA possesses three well-known, state-of-the-art gas laboratories forming a sound knowledge foundation under our consulting services.
Groningen Laboratory
The main laboratory of KEMA is located in the city of Groningen, the Netherlands. This laboratory has state-of-the-art facilities for performing combustion research, flow research and calibrations at medium/high pressures, gas analysis, for investigating, developing and improving industrial processes and innovative energy utilization systems.
For more information:
KEMA's flow laboratory specializes in flow research and calibration at medium/high pressures, and transport behavior of dust in pipelines and liquids in gas
KEMA's analytical laboratory offers analyses of natural gas, SNG, biogases, and offers assistance with analyses of exhaust gas
KEMA's combustion laboratory offers analyses of pollutants in gas-fired combustion equipment like engines, industrial burners and domestic appliances
