This paper presents the approach adopted for the implementation of a state of the art SCADA/DMS project of Empresa Eléctrica Quito (EEQ). EEQ is responsible for the sub-transmission and distribution of electrical energy in the city of Quito, with almost 2.400.000 habitants.
