Emission

Emission measurement, reduction and capture

Power generation, industrial processes, transport and agriculture all result in the release into the air, the soil or water of substances that are potentially harmful to people or the environment.

International treaties and national legislation regulate the amounts that can be released. The first challenge is to reduce emissions; the next is to measure, capture and store the substances that are produced. The realization of emission targets depends on technological advances and innovative strategies. And KEMA is working with commercial and research partners around the world to expedite the necessary technological and strategic progress.
