Description

Grid Integration of Renewable Energies

The German government has set itself a clear objective: By 2050 at least 80 percent of German electricity should be generated from renewable energy sources – in particular from wind and solar. This transformation presents a challenge for the operation of the electricity network.

The 16th Kassel Symposium Energy System Technology focuses on how to integrate large amounts of renewable energies into our electricity grid.

On 6 October Erik de Jong of KEMA will speak about "Hardware in the Loop Testing of DER Components" during the European Distributed Energy Resources laboratories (DERLab) session.
