Location and team
The business unit KEMA Gas Consulting & Services (GCS) has a team of more than 100 professionals. The unit consists of four substantive departments. Typical themes within GCS are strategy, business development, market research, regulation, asset management, integrity and safety, sustainable gases (e.g. green gas), energy efficiency, gas analyses and flow consultancy.
Our team Gas Markets and Policy (GMP) is specialized in the advice of clients in political, market, regulatory and strategic questions, specific for the gas sector. We are currently working with 10 consultants that have either a technical or an economic background. Our clients can be gas suppliers, transport or other infrastructure companies, governmental organizations as well as investors. Apart from strategic business consulting, example services of the GMP team are in-depth studies in gas market and regulatory topics, including quantitative and or qualitative analyses, country comparisons etc. These studies can contain evaluations of market developments and their effects, changes in policy or market design, for example rules for network access or balancing.
Tasks
- Project acquisition
- Project management including quality control of deliverables
- Supervision of other team members
- Interaction with Clients
- Maintaining personal network.
What we're asking
- You have an academic background and significant experience (at least 6 years) in the European gas industry, for example from positions in a utility company or energy consultancy, a regulatory authority and / or in gas associations, preferred in the Netherlands, in Germany or on EU level.
- You have in-depth knowledge of past and current developments in the European gas policy and know the economic details and market rules for network access isues and market aspects.
- You possess an established network in the gas industry and have experience in the acquisition of leads and projects.
- Fluent English is required as well as excellent analytical and structuring skills, including the ability to work conceptually.
- You have very good communication, presentation and writing skills and enjoy team work.
- You should have proved project management skills and the flexibility to travel internationally where required.
